As a veteran contractor, I understand the hassle of placing and retrieving objects from a truck bed. I have been searching for a way to make truck beds more accessible for nearly thirty years. In 1997, I bought my first truck, a Dodge Ram, and even as a younger (and more limber!) version of myself, I realized that climbing in and out of my truck bed was time-consuming, difficult, and oftentimes dangerous. To combat this problem, I put a three-prong garden hoe in the bed of my truck to place and retrieve everything from construction materials to groceries, but I knew there had to be a better solution.

24 years, and seven Dodge Rams later, I realized that I was still faced with the same issue - how is it so difficult to utilize the truck bed? I decided then that I needed to create a solution. After sketching a preliminary design, I contacted my brother, a mechanical engineer, who 3D printed a model of my design. After tweaking the model, the first prototypes were produced in 2022. I put the first Jimmy Stick in the bed of my truck, and I realized that we had created the solution to the problem. Cargo placement and retrieval would never be the same. From construction material to cases of water and groceries, I was able to fill my truck bed and remove the items without ever climbing into the bed or opening my tonneau cover.

After testing the first prototype, we knew that deciding to move forward with design and production was the only option. The Jimmy Stick not only made life easier, but safer and more efficient.
